We mark the end of the battle of the Somme on 18th November 1917 with five songs from a new work by Geoff Cloke called “For the Fallen” .

1517 and all that! Music of the Reformation

A programme of music by Lutheran composers to mark  Martin Luther’s nailing of the
“95 Theses” to the door of the church in Wittenberg which started the Reformation of the Church.

Handel – Zadok the Priest

Bach – “Wachet Auf” Cantata, BWV140

Bach – “Jesu bleibet meine freude”, BWV 147

and works by Schutz, Hassler, Buxtehude, and Luther.

In the Mood!

A mix of choral classics by Cole Porter, Fats Waller, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, and including “Songs and Sonnets of William Shakespeare ” by George Shearing.
